The Krewe of Lafitte 2024 Coronation

All members, their significant others, and guests are welcome to celebrate the Coronation of Lafitte LXIX, His Queen, and their Court.

The Coronation Social Hour will begin at 6:00 PM for our 69^th Coronation Ball at the Hadji Shrine Temple, 800 West Nine Mile Rd on May 18, 2024. All members, spouses, and guests are invited to join in for a fun time before the Ball with low background music and the lights up.  Of course, the Bars will be open!

All active Krewe members are required to be in their Full Krewe Costume.  All associate members and male guests are to be in a tuxedo. All ladies are required to wear a FLOOR LENGTH GOWN.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  Floor length means the dress must touch the floor when the shoes are removed.  Pants or Pants that are covered by sheer material worn by the ladies are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Gentlemen’s coats must remain on at all time throughout the evening. Anyone not in proper attire will be asked to leave.

NO DRINKS are allowed on the dance floor. This is a safety issue.

The Coronation of Jean Lafitte LXIX and his Queen will begin at 7:00 PM.  The doors to the Shrine will be locked at the beginning of the Coronation program and the bars will close.  The band will play until Midnight.

We are returning to the tradition of past Coronation balls and asking for members to bring food to share. This is an opportunity for you to visit your Pirate friends at their tables and sample the food delights that are available and mingle and talk instead of being seated at your own table.

Please don’t arrive before the doors open at 6:00 pm as we will be preparing to welcome Lafitte LXVIX, His Queen and their Court for this fantastic event!
